| Police: Man found shot to death in New London apartment NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) — Police say a man has been shot to death in Connecticut. New London officers responded to a basement apartment for a report of a shooting around 3:15 p.m. Saturday. Police found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The caller said that he was in an accident in Connecticut. Soon afterwards, the victim got another call from someone who identified himself as "John William.
