Governor Dannel Malloy is not putting into place a travel ban on state highways Thursday, he said during a morning news conference. "This will be a major weather event in our state," Malloy said. "While highways remain open, Connecticut travel conditions will still be quite hazardous at times.".

Malloy gave a press conference Thursday morning saying while highways weren't closed, it is strongly recommended that Connecticut motorists stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary, in order to allow DOT trucks to maintain roads and assist neighboring states in the response to the weather.
